Pachyveria 'Bea'

Pachyveria 'Bea': A frosty, ice blue rosette of somewhat pointed, upright leaves. The foliage shows subtle facets like its parent plant, , and has a powdery coating of . It is often mistakenly called , though that plant lacks the distinctive leaf facets. It produces a tall bloom stalk with pink and orange bell-shaped flowers. This intergeneric hybrid has a chunkier leaves than a standard Echeveria and can grow a tall stem as it matures. It takes well to regular "" and re-rooting.

Soft succulents will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. They need ample sunlight, good drainage, and infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use with 50% to 70% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
